SickKids celebrates Canada 150+!

We are still trying to get the maple syrup out of our hair after three fun filled events around Canada Day!

Twenty-one teams – over 100 staff filled the Garden Terrace at lunch to for Canada150+ trivia! Staff showed their creativity and Canadian pride with their dynamic team names. The John A. Mac-QUIZ-nalds from Pharmacy came out victorious and took away the grand prize: tickets to the SickKids BBQ and a copy of SickKids: A Complete History of The Hospital for Sick Children by David Wright.

Festivities moved outside for the SickKids annual BBQ where 1,684 attendees came out showing their Canadian pride! Many activities such as bean bag toss, messy hands and a silent auction were available for the community. Attendees also had the chance to win prizes by answering Canadian questions from our MC.

Then on Canada Day itself, Child Life hosted an indoor event for the children and families with games, maple treats and crafts!
