Inside the hospital: finding your way
Hospital Wings and elevators
The main hospital is made up of four wings:
- Atrium
- Burton Wing
- Black Wing
- Hill Wing
Review the main floor map (PDF) to locate elevators, washrooms, and other common services.
In order to locate a specific room within SickKids main hospital, the room numbers are designed to help you find your way quickly. Here's how you can locate a specific room:
- The first number or letter shows the floor (for example, basement, main floor, or upper floors).
- The second number indicates the hospital zone or area. See our hospital zones (PDF) to learn about the different zones in the hospital
- The remaining numbers identify the specific room within that area.
For example, Room 5826 would be on the 5th floor, Zone 8, and room number 26. See our guide to room numbering (PDF) to understand signage.
