Biography
Dr. Yiming Wang is a staff physician and clinical geneticist providing care to children and their families with cancer predisposition syndromes, congenital skin disorders (genodermatoses) and other rare paediatric genetic conditions at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). He is also a passionate teacher for clinical and research trainees at SickKids and the University of Toronto.
Dr. Wang grew up in Nanjing and had his medical training in Beijing. He then moved to Toronto and acquired his PhD at the University of Toronto. He subsequently completed the Medical Genetics and Genomics residency program at the University of Toronto (served as the Chief Resident in 2022).
Research
Dr. Wang’s interdisciplinary research focuses on utilizing novel clinical and research tools to explore the genetics, pathogenesis, diagnosis and management of cancer predisposition syndromes and congenital skin disorders.
