Alyssa Power

Dr. Alyssa Power received her medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and went on to complete residency training in Paediatrics at Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. In 2016, Dr. Power pursued training in Paediatric Cardiology at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), followed by a clinical fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

In 2020, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern and Staff Cardiologist at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. While there, Dr. Power was the Director of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Program. She returned to SickKids in 2022 to join the Heart Failure and Transplantation team.

Dr. Power’s research interests include cardiomyopathies, with a particular emphasis on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs), myocardial recovery, and pediatric heart failure and transplant outcomes.
