While in Kenya, she helped start and then complete the University of Toronto Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Fellowship in Global Women’s Health and Equity, which focuses on care, teaching, and research to improve the health of marginalized women locally and globally.

Dr. Millar’s research interests centre around the goal of improving the sexual and reproductive health of marginalized girls and young women, both locally and internationally.
