Francis Macapagal

Francis Macapagal started his nursing career in 2004 and is currently a Clinical Nurse Specialist on the Paediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) at SickKids. Macapagal completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Masters of Nursing at Ryerson University. His nursing background is in paediatric haematology and oncology, specifically bone marrow transplant. He also has experience as a nurse educator both at SickKids and through international projects in Qatar and the Caribbean.

In his current role he provides education, support and comprehensive coordination of care to children with potentially life-limiting illnesses and their families. Macapagal also supports the interprofessional healthcare team in providing care to these patients and families through staff mentorship and education. In his spare time he enjoys cooking and cycling, and is an avid sports fan, particularly the Raptors.
