Biography
Dr. Cathy MacDonald completed her paediatric radiology fellowship at Sickkids and has been a staff paediatric radiologist for seventeen years. Her clinical responsibilities are in providing diagnostic and consultative services for the Division of General Radiology with specific interest in cardiac imaging. MacDonald provides day-to-day teaching as well as weekly cardiac teaching and clinical rounds attended by both residents and fellows rotating through the Departments of Medical Imaging and Cardiology. She is the Hospital Coordinator of the Residency Training Program for the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto. She is an examiner in Diagnostic Radiology for The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. MacDonald’s current research time is spent writing a general textbook on Radiographic Imaging of Congenital Heart Disease. Other research interests include imaging patterns of pulmonary hypertension and MRI imaging techniques of congenital heart disease.
