Biography

Dr. Andrew Matisoff completed his anesthesia residency at Duke University Medical Center and Paediatric Anesthesia Fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in 2008. Prior to returning to SickKids, he had been a core member of the Division of Cardiac Anesthesia and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC for 15 years.

Research

Dr. Matisoff's research interest focuses on improving the perioperative management of children with complex heart disease with a special interest in patients with coexisting genetic syndromes, perioperative blood management and conservation, and the application of point of care ultrasound into the care of children with congenital heart disease.
