Biography

Melany Gaetani is a staff physician in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. She completed medical school in Dublin, Ireland at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed her paediatric residency training at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., USA. She trained in paediatric critical care at SickKids in Toronto, Canada, followed by an additional year of training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. She is currently completing a PhD in clinical epidemiology at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Gaetani's research interests are in the fields of pharmacotherapy and drug administration, error recognition, utility and analysis and sustainability science.
