Abha Gupta

Dr. Abha Gupta received her MD at the University of Toronto.  She completed her paediatrics residency at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital in New Haven, Conneticut and CHEO in Ottawa before moving back to Toronto to complete her fellowship in paediatric haematology/oncology at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). To complement her training, Dr. Gupta completed a one-year fellowship in Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology with a focus on sarcoma. She is currently cross-appointed as a staff oncologist at SickKids and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

As the Medical Director of the Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Program at Princess Margaret, she is working with a team of people to create the infrastructure to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery of information and services to young people with cancer.  She is also an integral member of the Sarcoma Team at Princess Margaret and Mount Sinai and is directly involved with research and clinical care for both children and adults with sarcoma.

She is also the Medical Director of the Canadian Sarcoma Research and Clinical Collaboration, CanSaRCC, which strives to foster research for and improve outcomes for patients with sarcoma. She is also currently chair of the Children’s Oncology Group ARST1431 study.
