Empower Reading team at SickKids brings their program to Cree Nation communities

The Empower Reading team began working with the Cree School Board in the Cree Nation of James Bay, Quebec in January 2015. Originally a pilot project in two schools in one community, Empower has expanded to eight remote communities in the region.

SickKids staff share their knowledge with International Learners Program cohort from Singapore

Peggy and Karen are recent graduates of the International Learner Program (ILP) at the Learning Institute. The two participants, from KK Women's and Children's Hospital in Singapore, took part in a six-week observership in SickKids' Cleft Lip and Palate Program.

SickKids, Toronto Paramedic Services and Heart & Stroke teach CPR live on Breakfast Television!

To commemorate CPR Awareness Month SickKids hosted some special guests to highlight the importance of basic CPR training in emergency situations. Kicking off a day long series of sessions collaboratively taught by educators from SickKids, Toronto Paramedic Services and Heart & Stroke, a special morning session was featured live on Breakfast Television.
