SickKids restoration efforts continue from cybersecurity incident
Summary:
Clinical and technical teams are working hard to bring systems back online.
The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is continuing to restore systems following the recent cybersecurity incident. We can confirm that the recovery process is on track going into the holidays. While we anticipate it could still be weeks until all affected systems are completely online, we are optimistic about the progress that has been made towards restoring our systems. Phone lines are now accessible, and the internal timekeeping system for staff payroll is back online.
Some patients and families may still experience diagnostic and/or treatment delays while SickKids works to restore all systems. SickKids teams are working hard to provide the best care possible throughout the ongoing Code Grey. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. This has been a challenging situation for staff, patients, and families, and we thank our community and system partners for their support.
