SickKids named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers for 2019

SickKids has been named once again as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers by Mediacorp Canada Inc.! This is the fourth year in a row our organization has received this honour.

According to Mediacorp Canada, here are some of the reasons why SickKids was recognized as a top employer:

• "SickKids organizes its charitable involvement and fundraising efforts through the longstanding SickKids Foundation, which has raised over $10 million in the past five years -- employees also lend their considerable expertise to initiatives that support children at home and around the world."
• "SickKids recognizes exceptional performance and achievements through a number of profession-specific awards, including the Daisy Award program (to recognize exceptional care provided by nurses), the President's Award to honour individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty, and the Research Institute Citizenship Award."
• "SickKids is committed to creating a healthy work environment through its wellness program, which includes weekly massage therapy for clinical staff, walking and running clubs, monthly lunch and learn wellness seminars and subsidized access to the hospital's 2,400 square-foot staff wellness centre, which features a fitness studio, cardio and weight equipment, and a number of fitness classes such as boot camp, pilates and yoga."

SickKids was also recognized as being one of Canada's Best Employers for Recent Graduates 2019.
