We want to hear from you!

Summary:

From August 10 to 21 we are hosting an online community engagement forum asking: How might we build the SickKids facilities of the future to best optimize the experience for patients, families and providers?

Have your say as we plan for the SickKids of the future

It is an exciting time at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). We’re planning for the future and we are looking to you, our community, to help us ensure that the SickKids of the future meets the needs of our patients, families and staff.

From August 10 to 21 we are hosting an online community engagement forum asking: How might we build the SickKids facilities of the future to best optimize the experience for patients, families and providers? We want to hear from our patients, families, staff, partners and the broader community.

Academic, specialty hospitals such as SickKids need the most specialized health care providers, equipment and facilities in order to deliver and coordinate patient care services for the sickest patients. In order to continue to be effective and to continue being a leader in children’s health care, our SickKids’ buildings require updating.

SickKids is currently developing a patient care facilities plan that will ensure we can continue to provide flexible, efficient, patient and family-centred care and continue to lead in paediatric health care for the next generation. This plan may include renovations to existing buildings and the construction and development of new buildings. At SickKids we believe that an investment such as this will lead to healthier kids and ultimately a healthier future as is highlighted through our vision Healthier Children. A Better World.

By visiting our online forum you can join the conversation by answering our question, reading and commenting on others’ posts and indicating which posts you enjoy or agree with the most. SickKids staff will also be part of the conversation and we look forward to reading your insights as we plan for our future.
