About the Clinic

Lotus Health is a health and advocacy program for children under the age of 18 years who have experienced, or may be at risk of experiencing, sex trafficking. Our multidisciplinary team provides a comprehensive continuum of trauma-informed health-care services using a systems of care approach. Learn more about Lotus Health.

You can call or text us at 437-226-3579 or email us at lotus.health@sickkids.ca. We will respond to calls, texts or emails within one business day.

In case of an urgent concern, there is a team member on-call 24 hours. Call 416-813-7500 and ask for SCAN to be paged.

What to Expect During Your Visit

When you arrive at Lotus Health, you will check in with our patient care coordinator who will ask some basic questions for hospital registration. You will then meet with a nurse and/or social worker in a private space to talk about the best plan of medical and mental health care for you. You can share as much or as little about your experiences as you feel comfortable. The length of your visit will depend on the services you require.

Coming to a clinic appointment

It's important to come prepared and be on time for a clinic appointment. Visit Coming for Clinic Appointments to read appointment guidelines that are applicable for most clinical appointments at SickKids.

You’ll find information on how to prepare and what to bring, what to do if you/your child are sick before your appointment or you need to cancel,  and important things to know about the SickKids philosophy.
