Biography

Dr Jain is a Staff Neurologist at SickKids and Assistant Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. He obtained his initial medical training (paediatrics and neurology) from various prestigious institutes in India. He then trained in paediatric epilepsy in Canada. His clinical interest includes medical management of children with drug-refractory epilepsy, epilepsy surgery evaluations, cortical motor mapping, vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), epileptic encephalopathy with spike-wave activation in sleep (SWAS) [previously called continuous spike and wave during sleep (CSWS)], and infantile spasms. His research interests mirror his clinical work. He has authored more than 100 papers in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals.
