Research Awards & Financial Services (RAFS) at SickKids supports researchers through the entire grants management lifecycle from grant applications and contract management to monitoring, financial reporting and close-out. RAFS services include:

  • Coordinating the review of applications, budget preparations, advising on agency requirements and institutional eligibility 
  • Providing grant writing, editing services and support for award nominations  
  • Identifying funding opportunities 
  • Supporting and facilitating grant and industry funded research agreements between SickKids and other parties  
  • Monitoring research project spending for compliance with funder restrictions, and SickKids policies. 
  • Preparing and submitting all financial reporting including financial statements, invoicing and forecasting
